Rob Spade DPT

Rob’ Story:

Rob grew up in Allentown playing soccer with his family, especially his younger brother Nick and Grandfather John.  He also enjoyed his parents’ home day care in their since infancy.  Rob has always been around kids growing up and still has the luxury of going to visit his parents’ day care in Allentown, Rotherham Child Care Center, which has been in the family for a few years.  His parents no longer have a home day care but Rob still remembers the good old days.

He played soccer for St. Thomas More School since he was 5 years old and continued the dream by playing Varsity soccer at Allentown Central Catholic High School.  Rob was a starter beginning his freshman year and was on the Olympic Development Program practice team when he was 18.  Rob became interested in physical therapy when his brother Nick came to Robbins Rehab for a back injury.  His mother Virginia had a little influence on his career choice, she is a nurse.

Education:

He attended Temple University in the fall of 2003 and received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in the spring of 2007.  He continued to play intramural sports at Temple University including soccer and dodge ball but chose to focus on his academics instead of pursuing collegiate sports.  He then continued his academics at Temple University’s graduate school for physical therapy in the fall of 2007 and received his doctorate of physical therapy in the spring of 2010.
