Lori Haring
Lori’s Story
Lori grew up in Downingtown, PA. As a child, she enjoyed hiking in her woods and helping in homes that her dad was building. In 4th grade, Lori read a biography about a little girl, Karen, born with cerebral palsy in the 1940’s. Karen’s mother traveled long distances to learn about how physical therapy can help with this condition. Instead of spending her life in an institution, a common treatment for CP at this time, Karen was able to fully function at home and even attend the public school. This story sparked Lori’s interest in helping people and learning about physical therapy. In high school and college, she was a member of her school’s swim teams and learned to appreciate the rewards of competition, hard work and being part of a team.
Education
Lori attended The University of Scranton and received a BS in Physical Therapy in 1993. She received an MS in Movement Science from MCP Hahnemann University in 2001.
